Performance enhancement to make use of parallel processing. A SQL Server bug was uncovered that block some related parallel tasks, this is managed within the system by adjusting the level of parallelism. Cube processing is parallel within each dimension block.

Cube processing exec logs and reporting have been added. iwCubeLog table and reporting introduced through direct query of table.  These logs have not been incorporated into SSAS/Excel Exec Audit Reports. Execution Audit Cube processing enhanced given user feedback to be processed on success or failure of every job, as well as an independent processing job.

Reserve and Allocation staging areas have been removed. Reserve load processed have been moved directly into the data warehouse. DAC process simplified with prorate scaling processes moved to Source ETL (UREV Deferrals and FAS 60 Com DAC). Group Due Premium unitization was also moved to Source ETL.

Agent hierarchies and policy versions restructured to improve performance. As part of the streamlining of the ETL, the “unique agent” process was discontinued.All policy agents now flow through the split agent process.  If the Agent Share is not 100% for a unique agent, a balancing agent share record will be created.

Cube processing optimized by only loading records for which there is a corresponding fact record in any table.
